BlackHawk "SERPA" Holster for XD

As always, great service from PG. The problem I have encountered with this holster is it has worn the finish off the corners of the slide on my XD -40 SVC near the front sight. Other than this, it's a great design.

Great Holster. Glad they have it for Left Handers now :) Just a note if you use an Extended Mag release (especially the tungsten extended unit) you will have to mod the holster so the holster doesn't push the mag release.

Good Holster, as long as your using the stock front sight or a low Fiber optic front sight. I have the Tactical XD-9, so it sticks out about an inch from the end of the holster. Which isn't a big deal, but I also have a set of Dawson Fiber Optics installed on my XD. When the weapon is holstered, the high rise of the Dawson front sight sticks past the upper part of the top of the holster, making Drawing very hard. I remedy this by taking a dremal, and removing about a half inch of Materal width wise, and about 1/3 of the acctual length wise, then I gone ahead and smoothed and ramped the inner lip of my cut. Works great, smooth draw and still holds the pistol completly secured.

As always, great fast service from PistolGear. I am fast falling in love with this holster. I love the modular design and haven't had any trouble concealling under my Cabelas fleece vest. I'm surprised at how quickly I've gotten used to hitting the release with my finger. I have only one complaint: the adjustable "stops" on the belt loop slots. They adjust easily for a 1 1/2" belt and, if removed, fit a 2" belt; but it lacks about 1/8" of fitting a 1 3/4" belt. My preferred belt is a wilderness 1 3/4". A little Dremel work and I was in business. It just seems like an odd flaw for such a well rounded modular design.
