I really liked the detailed explanation of all the gun's parts, including the author's thoughts on the gun's build quality. The one area I thought was really lacking was the cleaning and lubing. The video skipped over details like cleaning the firing pin channel, and in my opinion, not getting enough lube off the parts that didn't need it. All that excess oil attracts powder and dirt and makes it harder to clean the next time. Bob Dunlap takes you through everything on the gun including exactly how it works, what each safety does, and he finds himself really liking the XD. I completely stripped my XD-9 Service and followed along with him, cleaning out the impossible to reach grime from over 9,000 rounds at the range. He does make one mistake during the video that was driving me nuts. When he puts the Magazine catch spring in, he shows you backwards. The straight side of the sprint should be towards the catch, and the bent side should be towards the polymer hand grip. I followed his explanation, and the mag release became almost impossible to press. I disassembled (and if you have taken apart the mag release, you will know how much it sucks to put it back together), and switched it to the correct way, which the mag release is the way it should be.
