The PistolGear slide stop is very near and dear to our heart. We set out to build this part some time ago, looking to create a solution that would not only help your traditional XD owner, but the non-traditional owner as well.

Our design allows any XD owner, even those who lack dexterity in their thumb, or those who have trouble hitting the slide stop because of small hands, to quickly and easily close the slide from the lock-back position.

We believe that this part will have a great impact on all who give it a try. If you are a competition shooter (like we are), you will find this part to be fast and unobtrusive.

Installation is simple and will take you less than 30 seconds. We are working on an install video currently and will post it on our Tutorial Page once it is complete.

Good product, poor finish

I bough this slide stop to help keep me from hitting the slide stop on my XD(m) 9. It works very well to that, took it to the range and I no longer was accidentally locking the slide back with my high grip.

I ran 100 rounds through my XD(m) after installing this part. The finish didn't look good when I got the part and it is already wearing off. I wish it was a more durable finish but it won't stop me from using this part. I just wish they had used a better finish on it.

This is my favorite aftermarket XD part. I have bought and installed many parts from many sources that this one part by far has the greatest impact on the general performance of the firearm. Releasing the slide takes little to no effort and my days of going to slide-lock early because of my thumbing pushing up are gone. I love my pistolgear magwell but this part is the shizit. Can I say shizit? :)

I am a left hand shooter that has all .45 pistols. Could not release the slide on my XD .45 with my left hand fore finger etc. This new slide stop allows for me to release the slide and lock back the slide with ease. Following the instrucitons via the link made the swith easy and completed in less than 10 minutes. Strongly recommend!

A Good Product

I received my slide stop on Friday and quickly installed it for an IDPA match on Saturday morning. I can not only now release the slide without trying to shift my hand around, but because it's extended to the rear it takes less force to actuate.

Easily installed to boot.
