5 Product Reviews - Average rating / 5 (Show All) Click to review this product slam pads Me - 12th March 2013 The slam pads work great the adhesive is strong and easy to apply. The added length helps to get the mags seated quicker and i dont worry about dropping an empty mag on the concrete at my local range any more. Great product super service fast shipping thanks pistol gear Work great...when they stay on. Dan - 07th November 2012 The slam pads do exactly what they say they do. They extend the bottom of the mag just the right amount to ensure a secure and positive seat when I reload. My only gripe is that they fall off. I've already lost two at some point, and I have no idea where they are. The only thing left from them is the layer of adhesive on the mag plate which is a pain to get off seemingly anything except the slam pad it is supposed to keep attached. (PG NOTE: Temperature extremes can affect the adhesive. You can use things like superglue, rubber cement, epoxy to better hold the slam pads in place if required) Not IDPA Legal Jason - 15th September 2012 I just got a procedural at an IDPA match, because my gun (XDM-5.25 40S&W) did not fit in the box with a magazine in it. Without the magazine, the pistol, which is stock plus a pistol gear magwell and some internal changes, fit fine, but the extra height of the 0.375" slam pads kept it from fitting. (PG NOTE: This is correct. In order for the XDM 9/40 models to fit the IDPA BOX, you must use the .250" Slam Pads or sand down the .375" slam pads. The .250" pads can be found here: http://www.pistolgear.com/proddetail.php?prod=00PG002) Awesome FmsPtato - 25th December 2011 Such a simple product that works perfect! Love it! Click to review this productIPSC_HERMAN - 14th December 2011 I always love when a simple idea offers such a large impact. For half the shooting season, we shoot indoors. I bought the slam pads originally because I shoot L10 and use the pistolgear unlimited magwell. I needed the extra length to seat the mags. Now that we are indoors, I noticed that when my mags hit the concrete floor, the pads protect the mags from being dented or the floor plate being broken. I recommend this product to all XD and XDM owner if not for protecting your magazines alone. |
